Equine-Assisted Music Therapy
Central Kentucky Creative Therapies is the first and only provider in Kentucky to offer equine-assisted music therapy. CKCT has partnered with Lexington-based equine assisted learning non-profit, Annie's Answer, to offer these services. The two non-traditional therapies offer alternative ways for clients to achieve goals related to their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive health. Horses are utilized to facilitate a safe, relaxed, and engaging environment conducive to client growth. Interventions may assist youth and adults alike in improving coping, reducing stress, building communication skills, and strengthening fine and gross motor skills. Services are offered in both individual and group formats and no horse experience is required.
